Thanks to the Freedom of Information Act, now almost all records about individuals are made public. The same act has now made it possible for people to get their hands on not just an individual's birth records but one can also get his or her hands on other records like tax records, court records, property records, criminal records and even divorce records.

The best part about such information sharing is that it has now taken the advancement of technology, incorporated it into its system and has now made all such information available to the public with just few clicks of the mouse button. Yes that is right, you can now find such records from one place and all you would have to do is get your hands on the divorce records of an individual and thereby get every other information linked to that person.

If you have been thinking that you can easily look at every single court order to look for one person's divorce records, then you would have to live ten hundred years to actually search through all of it. When you need to look for such information really fast, this particular process would not prove to be very effective.

Since, the free information provided through the government repositories is only available when you have the necessary information, you would not be able to get your hands on some of the sensitive information. Certain information would not be made available to you especially if there is a clause to protect the identity of the witnesses to a crime that could be connected to the divorce.
